Daily or seasonal refuge entrance fee** required in addition to
seasonal surf fishing permit fees of:
24 Hour Walk-on        $5.00
2 Nights                      $50.00
** The daily/seasonal refuge entrance fee of $5.00 can be avoided by having a valid federal
duck stamp.

Refuge open ½ hour before sunrise to ½ hour after sunset. September 1st to October 31st
beach travel permitted.

Sandy Point State Reservation
Same information and telephone numbers as listed for Parker River, above. The beach is state
owned and federal rules and regulations no longer apply. There is no entrance fee required at
Sandy Point as long as one proceeds directly to Sandy Point and does not stop along the refuge.

(To Wildlife Refuge, Plum Island)

Rte 95 north to 133 east to old route #1. Take a left on rte #1 for about 5 miles to Hanover Rd
on your right.Middle road will be on your left. If you end up at the rotary you went too far. Take
Hanover to the lights at 1A. Strait across at light to Rolfes La.and go to Plum Island turnpike [the
water will be in front of you] take a right and go past the small airport and across the bridge the
next right is Sunset Dr. that brings you to Wildlife Refuge. Air down at first parking lot on your left
and then continue on down the road for about quarter mile. The beach buggy trail will be on your
left.

Rte 495 north to rte 110 east to rte #1 go south on one until you hit rotary go one quarter way
around it and continue on rte#1 south to Hanover St on your left and middle rd will be on your
right. Follow the same directions as above from Hanover St.
